Studio LIRA was born the way many good things begin: through ideas exchanged over countless coffees, between two Italian architects who have spent the last twenty years immersed in the world of architecture, half of that time in Sydney.

What started as quiet conversations and shared sketches slowly became a clear desire to create something of our own. After years of collaborating in different ways, we knew we could build more together, helping clients shape the spaces they imagine, whether a new home, a retail fit-out, an alteration and addition, or a considered furniture selection.

Growing up and studying in Italy, a sense of heritage, harmony and proportion is something we carry naturally. Not an aesthetic formula but a way of seeing. It informs how we approach every decision, how we read a space, how we guide a project from the first conversation to the last detail.

We believe in reaching the essence of things. No shortcuts. Nothing taken for granted.

Our approach leans toward timelessness: calm gestures, thoughtful sequences of space, materials that age with honesty. We trust our instinct and our creative hand, but our strength lies in listening. Each story is different. The architecture should be too.
